On Saturday 27th I received a package posted through my door containing a video,witness statements and an anonymous letter claiming that Cllr Dave Fitzpatrick had assaulted a young man behind closed doors in his pub and then wielded a chain in an aggressive and threatening manner outside his pub.Below is the letter that I received and the front pages of thewitness statements that accompanied them.

I think it is important to once again provide the proof to substantiate the postings that I have made.

Early this month I recieved a phone call from a leisure centre employee who told me that the off peak gold card that was introduced so that people who were unemployed,low waged,students,or oap's could use the gym facility at a reduced rate,had been abolished totally.The employee told me that now everyone was being made to pay for a gym and swim when we dont have a baths to use in our town,whether people want to go swimming or not,and that this was costing £100.00 more than the off peak gold card.Below is a letter I recieved recently from a woman who is disgusted in the hike.Below that are the new and old tariff.

Even visitors to Redcar can well appreciate the urgent need for a swimming pool and sporting facilities.

The shortage of funds at Redcar & Cleveland Council has caused them to consider planning proposals for the site at Coatham which, I believe, would not otherwise have been received with any great enthusiasm.

However, I would maintain that the planning proposals now under consideration for the Coatham site, which involved not only a pool and sporting facilities but substantial plans for housing development, are ill-advised.

The Coatham site and its approaches are part of the heritage of Cleveland and the development of it should probably have been the subject of joint consultations between Redcar & Cleveland, Stockton Council and Middlesbrough Council.

In particular there ought to have been consultation between, and persuasive advocacy by, MPs in Parliament to obtain appropriate finance on behalf of Redcar & Cleveland Council. I am not aware that this has taken place.


The arc of sands between Redcar and the Tees mouth is a setting of great beauty, which should be preserved at all costs.


The best designers should come up with a comprehensive plan for the swimming pool and sporting facilities and for Redcar and Coatham front. The design need only be simple.


The buildings adjoining the beach - namely Leos, the Regent Cinema and the amusement arcade - would be affected by a comprehensive plan aimed at establishing and maintaining a beautiful coastline.


The cost of all this work will be substantial and generous compensation will have to be paid to those whose businesses or buildings are affected.


I believe, however, that if the money could be found, the cost can be justified.


Redcar has not had a great deal of money expended on its front for over 70 years.

On the 12th of this month,I put a posting onto this blog stating how both I and councillor Mary Lanigan went for a meeting at Guisborough police station with Inspector Kevin Scott and Inspector Colin Askey.At this meeting Inspector Scott told us that the threatening hate mail that I recieved, posted through my door in March time last year did not constitute a criminal act.If that is the case,then why did the police treat it as such and take it away to be fingerprinted in April last year? If that was the case why has every police officer who we have contacted about this has told us that the investigation is "still on going"?

If it isnt a crime,if a crime hasnt been committed then what is there to be ongoing with? Or does it only now not constitute a criminal act now that the friends who I showed the letter to have given their prints and there are still THREE sets of prints on the letter unaccounted for? This left the police with a dilemma? In April when the police came to my house and took the prints off the people that I had showed the letter to,the seargent who took the prints told us in front of a councillor from Redcar and Cleveland that they knew the letters were coming from someone within the council.They now know,theyve known since last year,that three sets of prints didnt match those given by my friends.If I hadnt contacted them in August some four months after the prints had been taken would the police have said anything at all you wonder? because they hadnt even contacted me to tell me what the results were.

So,the police know that the hate mail that I,Mary Lanigan and ,Mike Findley have recieved has come from someone in the council..they told us so.My letter was dusted and prints were found.My friends prints were taken and eliminated and there were three sets of prints left on the letter unaccounted for.The police dont say anything I have to chase them up.They refuse to do anything so I take them to the Independent police complaints commission.Inspector Scott comes to my house I give him the names of six suspects within the council.Then on December 22nd after taking the letter away to be dusted,after taking prints of my friends to eliminate them,and after telling us that the letter came from someone in the council,suddenly I am told the letter dosent constitute a criminal act? Is that because perhaps one of the three sets of prints left on the letter could possibly match the suspects I gave him in my house in November last year?

It very much seems like it was only a criminal act in the eyes of the police when they had an alternative.That alternative has been taken away because after my friends gave their prints,they have been eliminated from the investigation.Investigation? Investigation? What investigation? The police have told me that the letter didnt constitute a criminal act? So why was there enough of a crime that had been committed to warrant an investigation 9 months ago to eliminate my friends from, but not the council now? There are still three sets of prints left unaccounted for.All the police are left with now,are three sets of fingerprints on a letter that they have already stated has come from someone in the council.Isnt it funny that suddenly,with only the real suspects left, they dont deem it to be a criminal act anymore? As is shown with the Dave Fitzpatrick case,why do the police refuse to investigate prominent figures within this council?

Andy,this is what I want to say to you.It is obvious from your postings on Redcar.Net over the last couple of days that you are annoyed about the fact I posted on this blog that your mum used to be a Libdem councillor.I asked the question are you therefore as unbiased and politically not giving a f**k as you make out bearing this in mind,bearing in mind that councillor Chris Abbott leader of the Libdems helped you in setting the site up and also bearing in mind that I have had to face really bad abuse from you when I have never been disrespectful or abusive to you in return.
I wasnt disrespectful about your mum in the posting and I didnt denegrate her in any way.Infact I praised your mum for being her own person and for standing up to Abbott in her time as ward councillor.I stated that I respected her very much for this.I never,as one site user has suggested,said that everyone who uses Redcar.Net is a "council stooge" either.

Once again I state the facts and ask the questions,once again the insults fly in.Over two days Ive had "looked at your bog err blog","spiteful","sneaky","slimey","abusive","malicious","self serving buffoon","half baked","underhand","massive chip on his shoulder","foolish","my estimation of his character was low now its just plummeted","McMuppet","McMuppets drivel","I feel let down for his attack on an innocent person","how could I stoop so low", and been told to "get help".All that vitriol because I point out that your mum used to be a LibDem councillor and asked a question? What is slimey or abusive about that? Wheres the spite or the underhandedness in pointing out that fact and then asking the valid question of "are you as politically unbiased as you make out?"
Tell you what, if you want to talk about spiteful,malicious,abusive or cruel as one site user stated, lets couple all of the above with being called a twat by you,a tosser,a paranoid self obssessive,a pathetic little man and countless other things that you have flung at me over a two year period. Lets couple them with all the other abuse from other site users who have slagged me off over two years. Can anybody remember one saddo posting a picture of the BNP logo,Nick Griffin,and the Ku Klux Klan and then stated that he had taken these photos at our last march? Where was all the outcry then from all the site users who are outraged now just because I pointed out your mum was Libdem councillor and for my ward too? Where was all the condemnation of those downright despicable postings along with all the insults that followed about our march and our meeting where a criminal barrister among others addressed 430 people.Just who do you and all the other nameless,faceless users who attack me from the the safety of their anonymity, think you/they are?

You slate me for having other user names to blow my own trumpet? I have used other names but never to blow my own trumpet.Ive had to adopt other user names in order to gain access to the site because you took me off the site under my own name.For two years Ive used my own name.I have had other user names since you barred me and my girlfriend off,we use the same computer.Im currently Beefeater although I cannot post,I have been sumpter about 18mths ago but not sumpter2,that was my source from the council.I have been Flatiron.This is my friend in Londons user name but he let me use it when you barred me as he registered some time ago but never uses the site.The posting from my niece was just that.She felt aggrieved that I was taking the slating that I was and decided to try and defend me.When barender told me what she had post I asked him to take it off because my charity work is my affair.My girlfriend has tried to defend me too.But am I allowed no support? Am I not allowed to have my loved ones stand up and fight my corner? Your brother defended you last night and launched into his tirade just because I had pointed out that your mum was once a libdem councillor,arent my loved ones allowed to stick up for me after the vitriol that Ive had levelled at me? From the moment I started using your site Ive been attacked so personally and so viciously that at times Ive literally had my head in my hands.And why? Because Ive dared to challenge this council over the issue of Coatham and Ive taken it to the lengths that I have because I value the truth and because I have been smeared and lied about by this council so terribly.I have uncovered their lies and made them public.I have showed that some of the main players from the council in the issue of Coatham really cant be trusted.I,along with other members of our group, have shown that we can have all the leisure facilities that we all want because the council are now borrowing at least £8,000,000 to prop the scheme up because theyve attracted no funding, and are currently wasting nearly £7,000,000 on non essentials that could be spent more wisely for the benefit of the many.We have shown over two and a half years, that the councils claims that we have to have 359 houses built on our coastline and one of our last open green areas in order to have the pool and leisure facilities we all want,is absolute nonsense. I and our group have shown all these things and backed everything up with all the documents to prove everything and the powers that be havent liked it one bit.We/I have rocked their boat and exposed them as the fakes they are and they have bitten back...hard and on your site too.You dont think for one minute they dont use it do you?

It has been levelled at me that Im in this because Im on some sort of ego trip.Nobody would put themselves through what I have over the last two and a half years just to feed their ego.Your ego isnt fed or massaged by constantly taking the negativity and vitriol that I have.My ego was always sated by doing my comedy and having audiences laughing but Ive done no comedy for as long as Ive been fighting this campaign.Ive given this my all.I havent gained financially from fighting the campaign.I havent had any material gain from standing up for the people in Coatham who dont want this housing estate to blight our coastline.I,along with our group, have done more to inform the people of Coatham and the town of what is going on with the development than our elected ward councillors have and they get paid! We have done it because we are driven by a passion for our home and for the truth and because we care.These things have created a fantastic community spirit in Coatham.

You stating that Im on an ego trip when Ive had all the shit Ive had on your site,along with death threats and hate mail and attacks on my property is just beyond me.If this whole campaign was just one big ego trip and a big f**k off pose,Id have been out of it the moment I got the call over two years ago that told me that I,my kid and my house would all get burned if ********* lost money.But Im still here because Im not in this to say "look at me aren't I great?" and Im not in it to blow my own trumpet and get my face in the papers.Im in it because I believe in what Im doing and because I care about the future of our town,whether I get threatened,slated,or even worse.

I bumped into the owner of the Cleveland today.He told me you had been in a couple of Saturdays ago.He told me where you lived and this afternoon I was going to come and see you.I was going to come and see you to apologise.Not for telling people that your mum used to be a Libdem councillor.Not because I asked the questions I did.What is there to apologise for in telling the truth and asking a question? No, I was going to apologise to you because the whole local issues section has become a nasty vicious place,its not good,and I feel partly responsible for that.I have used the local issues section to take the facts and truth out to people.To show the public the documents that show those who are responsible for trying to push the Coatham Enclosure scheme through, for what they are.I have used it to post documents,most of them council documents,that show the real truth behind this scheme.I have used it because the press at times have been so terribly biased and failed to report the facts accurately,so how else was I supposed to inform people? I have used it and as a result those who want this scheme to go ahead for whatever reason,and some of them are connected to the council,have reacted with all the goading and insults.

At times I have reacted.At times I havent.At times I have been boring and repetitive in order to answer them.I know that sometimes the whole issue has been overkill and it has pissed site users who dont care either way, off .I am sorry for that, truly I am.I am sorry for putting the campaign that is so important to me and to a lot of other people before everything else to the point where I failed to consider the consequences for you and your site when the council and Colin Moore and his London solicitors were breathing down your neck to reveal IP addresses and identities.It was never my intention to jeopardise you personally.

I just want you and everyone else to understand how I have had to use your site as a means to tell people the truth.Im just sorry that because of this the LI section is a battle zone at times and I dont think thats what you ever intended it to be.There are those who are against the Coatham development and those in favour.I personally think that after all the facts we have shown which prove that we dont have to have the houses to have the leisure,and that even with the houses we still wont have the leisure,that this scheme isnt, nor ever has been about anything other than taking one of our last open spaces,an area that is used by thousands of people and turning it into an exclusive,self contained housing estate.That is my opinion based on the things that I have brought to light and put on your site for the last two years.

Im not a negative person,or a nasty person yet negativity and nastiness have become synonymous with the LI section of the site.I am sorry if telling the people of this area the facts about Coatham has helped lead to this situation.However,I hope that all those who have helped drag that section down with me, by goading,insulting, and provoking me in order to shift the focus from the facts we have put on the site, are as sorry as I am.

Come to the Clevey again Admin...lets have drink and bury the hatchet.

"What happened to the Coatham Enclosure protest I'm just wondering because it seems all smears on the local council, or the local anyone not even on the council. I would have thought it's outgrown the Coatham protest, so maybe Chris's Redcar Protest Group or maybe the Redcar Protest of Chris Organisation..might be more in keeping the modern strategy. Last year the whole thing seemed a lot more related to the Coatham end, but lately they seem to be attacking anything. whether this is the last bite of the dying flea, or just Chris's Redcar Protest Group CRPG coming of age".

The above is just one posting taken from Redcar.net today.I would like to answer this posting as I cannot do so on the site.The person who posted this talks of 'alleged' smears against councillors or anybody.Lets look at smears.I'll tel you what a smear is. A smear is a rumour being started deliberately by two ward councillors that you are a member of the BNP when you aren't, nor ever have been, to deliberately try and blacken you.A smear is an unsubstantiated allegation made by a ward councillor that you have sent her threatening letters and emails and spat at her in the street when you haven't.No proof has ever been produced to substantiate the claims,no report of harrasment was ever reported to the police.Strange? Isnt that what you do when youve been treated so despicably? A smear is an email from a chief executive to the all the members of the council stating that you have abused his secretary on the phone,when the tape recording made of it shows that you didnt.A smear is a letter sent from the chief executive to the MP that you have behaved violently towards a councillor when you haven't.Once again if I had do you think that the police wouldnt have been involved? Add to the mix hate mail sent from someone who the police themselves have told me comes from inside the council,along with a couple of death threats,smashed windows etc.These are smears.This is real harrasment and intimidation.

These things have been done to me because I stood up and spoke out.I spoke out against something that I, and a lot of other people, feel strongly about.I shouldnt have had to endure the things above just because I have stood up and spoke out, but I have.The campaign was started in order to stop the building of 359 houses on our coastline and to have the whole area developed solely for leisure.This is still the main aim.However,in trying ,unsuccessfully I may add,to stifle our protest and discredit those involved in it,this council has stooped to the depths that I have talked about above.

I haven't smeared anyone.A smear isnt presenting facts with the relevant documents to substantiate them.I have presented the facts,FACTS BACKED UP WITH ALL THE RELEVANT DOCUMENTATION TO PROVE THEM,about the way that key figures within this council,people who will have a direct influence in the issue of Coatham, have behaved and are behaving.Key figures that are trying to push through the Coatham development.Colin Moore,Ian Hopley,Steve Kay,Chris Abbott,Dave Fitzpatrick,Vera Moody,we have shown how all of these key players in the Coatham issue have behaved 'less than appropriately',from lying to tribunals and being found guilty of sharp practise,to failing to declare interests in big schemes.From starting smear campaigns to wielding chains in the street.From making unsubstantiated claims about members of the public to denying out of hand things that have later come to pass.Lies,smears,deceit,sharp practise,breaking the councils codes of conduct,secrecy,threats to local businesses,theyre guilty of them all.And we have all the documents and all the witnesses to prove it all.No unfounded allegations.No untrue smear campaigns,no lies,just facts backed up with documents.Ask yourself the question.Are these the type of individuals, that you really want making decisions about Coatham?

The latest revelations about Cllr Fitzpatrick,the revelations that the PCT/council/persimmon had submitted plans for a 5GP surgery to be added to the leisure centre without anyone being consulted and without the council knowing,and the revelations that this council are in the mire financially to the point where the chief executive has issued instructions to stop all non essential spending immediately yet can somehow still find the money to pay half of the consultancy fees and all the (undisclosed amount) legal fees for the richest builder in the country,the revelations that show they are wasting nearly £7,000,000 and borrowing £8,000,000 shows that we can have all the leisure that we want in this town without having 359 houses built on our coastline.These revelations,and the revelations about the behaviour of key players in the Coatham scheme, show that far from being the last bite of a dying flea,our group are still up there fighting this every step of the way and bringing all the relevant information into the public domain to help them make informed decisions about the whole issue of Coatham which is probably why well over two thousand people,an unprecedented amount, have objected to the planning application. And which is probably why the MP has released two letters slating the council and spoken out on local radio against the scheme and the tactics used by the people I have mentioned above.

All this and still the killer blow has yet to be administered.Im just waiting for the right moment.Its not too far away.

How many people know that next Tuesday for between five and seven days,an independent inspector is coming up to Redcar and Cleveland and that a public inquiry into the councils new LDF consultation (local development framework) which puts forward what this council hope to do for the next 15 -20 years is taking place? More importantly,how many of you knew that you had a right to put forward your views to the inspector through your ward councillor? How many of you were told this by your ward councillor? The LDF consultation was an absolute sham.When the meeting was held for Redcar in Redcar library the council told members of the public who wanted to come in to ask questions that the room was full.When an independent journalist and a 74 year old ex-squadron leader and MBE gained access to the 'consultation' meeting,both were physically removed by council employed doormen,for counting 48 empty chairs in a room where there were only eight members of the public in attendance. The 74 year old veteran had an angina attack as a result.

In Eston,at the Eston meeting,the room had the same number of people in attendance.When two local ward councillors tried to get in they were stopped.After arguing the case that they were ward councillors and that they should be able to enter, they were allowed in but werent allowed to ask any questions.

Is it any wonder then that members of the public and community groups who submitted evidence and statements have had them knocked back? The reason? The councils newly appointed programme officer,John Harbour,who in actual fact was a long term council employee that had retired but had been brought back specifically to oversee the running of the inquiry and the advising of all those involved,informed the independent councillors who were gathering the relevant information that they had until the 16th of January to submit all evidence and answer all the councils counter claims that were made in response to the independent councillors initial submission which had to be in by the 2nd January 2007.

In reality though,strangely? Coincidentally? after the programme officer had gladly accepted all the paperwork that had been put together and submitted on the 16th January and passed it on to senior council officers for their inspection before being passed onto the independent inspector, (the evidence by the way contained two letters from the MP speaking out about the councils lack of consultation,a copy of the Informer which showed pictures of the 74 year old squadron leader being man handled at the library in 2005,letters from myself,a barrister,a school teacher, and residents from south bank and Eston), the newly appointed programme officer then claimed he had got his dates wrong and stated that it should have all been submitted on the 2nd January? All the evidence submitted by members of the public was turned down by the inspector as a result. Since the news was broken last Wednesday,the newly appointed, for a short time only,programme officer has failed to respond to emails from an independent councillor that asked him how to appeal against this appaling decision because they have emails from the programme officer which clearly state that they had until the 16th January to answer the councils claims and produce any further evidence. He has tried to withold information from the same councillor and told another independent councillor who managed to get hold of him on the phone, that he would not speak to them on the councils phone and that he would prefer to speakon his mobile phone.When this phone call took place he informed the independent councillor that he wouldnt even be at the meeting on Tuesday so if they wanted to complain about his conduct he wouldnt take it personally. He also told the councillor that the council had put together a big team together to make sure that this LDF went through at all costs.

If anyone in the council has information to expose and stop this corruption and maladministration,please come forward and give it to us.Your anonymity is assured.

IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT THE PUBLIC,EVEN THOUGH THEY CANNOT SPEAK,CAN ATTEND THE MEETINGS BEGINNING ON TUESDAY 30th JANUARY,AT 10 OCLOCK,AT BELMONT HOUSE COUNCIL OFFICES IN GUISBOROUGH.

The best laugh of all came on Wednesday when I walked into a meeting atthe Coatham Bowl that I thought was for the general public.It was infact a meeting for council employees.It was so funny to hear Colin Moore tell about 200 council employees that "Global warming was taking off in a big way", that "you only had to watch the film the inconvenient truth to see that we had to cut down on our carbon emissions" and that "rising sea levels were a frightening reality".

"Rising sea levels are a frightening reality" I thought? If he is really concerned with rising sea levels then why does he want Persimmon homes to build houses right on top of the beach in Coatham? I asked the lady next to me who was busy scribbling down notes."No comment" was her reply.

It was at this point that finance officer Ray Richardson got up from the front row of the room and came over to me at the back of the room,he had obviously been alerted that I was there."You'll have to leave he said,this is for council employees" "Oh Im sorry,I thought it was for the general public too" I replied.As I got up to leave I asked him aboutthe email that Colin Moore had sent to the whole council telling them to cease non essential spending.Smiling he said "he hasnt sent one?" "well thats funny I replied because I have a copy that someone in the council gave me? along with the contracts register for Redcar and Cleveland borough council showing that youve spent £920,000 on coke and britvic orange,£900,000 on moblie phones,£1.6,000,000 on business travel and £3.6,000,000 on food can you tell me about these things" Still smiling he said "the fact is we havent spent any of those sums theyre all contract values for councils in the whole of the Northern region". I said "but hang on it clearly states at the top of those sheets that they were the contract register for Redcar and Cleveland borough council not anyone else?".By this time we were outside and he turned to me and said "thats it now, off you go" and smiled once more as he made a shooing gesture with his hands."Thanks for the bullshit" I said.

He made one thing clear to me.That even though at first he denied that Colin Moore had sent that email with the contracts register attached,he knew all the time that he had sent it,thats why he went straight into his patter about the figures being the contract values for councils across the North.Why do certain people within the hierarchy of Redcar and Cleveland borough council deny out of hand things that they know are true.Why do they deliberately fail to tell the truth when they are asked questions that they have not prepared their answers to for a couple of weeks before.

Soon we'll all be able to see exactly where the money is being spent when I request a break down of the figures next week.

As you know I am barred from Redcar.net. I have often wondered why I am barred when basically all I do is bring to peoples attention the truth about this council.Everything I have ever said on that site is backed up with all the relevant, documented proof. I have never been disrespectful to the administrator,yet he has referred to me as a twat among other things aswel as allowing negative threads about me to remain for people to make more negative comment.He seems to constantly pour scorn on everything that anyone who is against the Coatham development says,and he seemingly always comes down on the side of the council.He has,it appears,got rid of nearly every dissenting voice against the council on his site.

Well surprise surprise! Is it any surprise at all? His mum just happens to be an ex lib/dem councillor so I am told.Yes,Thelma Bennet used to be councillor for Coatham.I must be honest that I have heard that Thelma was her own person and didnt allow herself to be bullied by Cllr Chris Abbott as so many others do,and knowing her from the Coatham forum which I am a member of, I think she is very much her own person for which I respect her for very much.But when you take the facts that Mr Andrew Bennet/Admin pays thanks to Chris Abbott for helping him set the site up on the sites credits and his mum was part of the party that we have exposed for all the lies and deceit and dirty smear tricks that they have pulled over the issue of Coatham,could it be that the Admin isnt as unbiased or politically "not giving a f**k as he makes out? Could it be that the forces of libdem politics are making sure that they have no one speaking out against them in the run up to the elections in may? I'll leave you to draw your own conclusions.

Today,I recieved an anonymous package posted through my letterbox.In it was a video tape,a set of witness statements,and an anonymous letter.Anonymous for fear of reprisals.A letter explaining how COUNCILLOR and DEPUTY LEADER OF THE COUNCIL Dave Fitzpatrick took an eighteen year old,Carl Harris, into his public house,shut the door and then along with other men inside the pub, beat this young man up till he was covered in blood.The reason for the attack? Cllr Fitzpatrick had claimed that the young man had been directly involved in an incident at his pub earlier that evening where a young man who had been drinking in his pub had been lured outside and attacked.This allegation made by CllrFitzpatrick was later dismissed by a judge in court and it was deemed that at the time of the earlier incident,Carl Harris had been nowhere near the pub.As if this isnt bad enough,what the video tape showed me was absolutely incredible.

The video contained CCTV footage of the incidents that took place after Carl Harris was dragged into Cllr Fitzpatricks pub.Young men,obviously angry at the fact that Carl had been dragged into the pub,were kicking the door of the pub.One young man can be seen to smash two windows.No one can condone this behaviour in any way shape or form.However,what can be condoned even less is a ward councillor,leading cabinet member,and deputy leader of this council dragging a young man into his premises and setting about him, whilst he was defenceless, with other men.Worst was to come.A few minutes after the youth had smashed the second window,Fitzpatrick emerged from the pub brandishing a chain along with five or six other men and chased these youths up the road.The men that emerged from the pub with Cllr Fitzpatrick could be seen breaking a for sale sign post into bits and handing them among each other to be used as weapons.One man can be clearly seen brandishing a house brick.

The last time I saw images like these was on one of those late night police programmes that show reams of CCTV footage showing thugs on the rampage at football matches or running amok in city centres late at night.Its not what I or anyone else should expect from a ward councillor and deputy leader of the council.

Even though he was caught on CCTV camera,even though it is obvious that young Mr Harris was beaten up by Fitzpatrick and others behind closed doors in his pub,even though all the witness statements provided by Cllr fitzpatrick and the others totally conflict with each other,even though in court according to the letter Fitzpatrick denied brandishing a chain,only to be shown the CCTV footage which showed he was,NO CHARGES were brought against him! Incredibly according to the letter I recieved, he got off with that by saying he couldnt remember carrying one. Complaints that were lodged by the young mans parents were conveniently forgotten about.Infact according to the letter that I received, a seargent Barker who was involved throughout,informed the court that the complaint against Fitzpatrick for assault had been dropped by the young mans parents which the letter says is totally untrue.It also states that no charges were brought against Fitzpatrick because the police felt that it wasnt in "the best interests of the public"!!!

How can this type of behaviour be tolerated from someone who as DEPUTY LEADER of REDCAR AND CLEVELAND BOROUGH COUNCIL is supposed to be above violent conduct on this scale? More importantly just how did the police fail to press charges against Cllr Fitzpatrick? On the video footage he can be seen clearly holding the chain whilst the police are there stood next to him and they do nothing? Something is drastically wrong when police photographs taken of the young mans injuries the following day go missing,only to turn up in court on the day of the hearing as part of the prosecutions file? What relationship do the police have with this council when they fail to press charges against someone who has not only been a party to an assault but has also brandished a chain in a violent manner?

The whole lot stinks to high heaven.The police dismissed hate mail sent to me as not constituting a criminal act.They refuse to investigate the council over the matter even though they told me they knew that the mail that I, and Cllrs Findley and Lanigan recieved, had come from someone inside this council.Yet they fail to press charges against a lead councillor who is acting like a drunken thug and investigate two young men for thirteen weeks for fly posting at the councils insistence, because the fly posters accused Cllr Dave Fitzpatrick and Steve Kay and Chief Executive Colin Moore of being corrupt? On the 22nd of December Inspector Colin Askey was quick to point out that the two young men were guilty of criminal damage,but if that was the case and what they had done was so wrong,then why were they not prosecuted?

I'll tell you why because the council didnt want it to come out into the public domain further which taking them to court would have done.I have spoken to one of the young men at length about the whole fly posting issue and he told me that shortly after they were let off without charge,Colin Moore invited them to the council for a meeting where he basically tried to sweet talk them into keeping quiet in future.

The situation within this council is out of control.The person who sent me the letter stated that they went to the Gazette and Radio Cleveland with the story and the video tape but they didnt want to know. What I find saddest of all,is that the person has come to me with this as a way of getting the truth out and for justice perhaps to be done.What good are the police if they fail to safe guard the public? If they prefer to cover up for the guilty just because they are deputy leader of the council? What good is the media if they fail to report the truth?

I have been on the receiving end of Cllr Dave Fitzpatrick.Along with Cllr Chris Abbott he started an untrue smear campaign that I was a member of the BNP.Violence,smear campaigns,lies.Is this what we expect from those we elect to serve us?

Its amazing isnt it? This council can find £1,600,000 for business travel for the officers,£920,000 on soft drinks,£900,000 on mobile phones,and £3,600,000 on food that hasnt been explained where its being eaten,yet the council close a town centre public toilet on Moore Street in Redcar because according to the atricle in the Gazette last week,they dont have the money, to maintain it.What an absolute disgrace.

The documents below were given to me by an employee of Redcar and Cleveland borough council.I intend to put the contents of these documents,that the council is in dire financial trouble yet are wasting millions of pounds of public money on non essentials like coca cola,first class travel and food,whilst council employees are being made redundant,we are being starved of leisure facilities and other public amenities because there is a "lack of money available" or so the council tell us,into the public domain.

I urge every last employee of our council who is privvy to other such information,to come forward and produce it to us,in strictest confidence,as soon as you possibly can.The people in charge of our council are in free fall.Our council isnt the four star authority that it is deceiving the public into thinking it is.Maladministration,sharp practise,deliberate lying to tribunals,bullying, intimidation,misrepresenting members of the public and the MP,starting smear campaigns,sending members of the public and council hate mail and now the latest revelations about the sheer waste of public money,OUR MONEY.It cannot be allowed to continue one moment longer.It is time that the real truth about them was brought out into the public arena so that steps can be taken to remove the corrupt,inept and the deceiveing from their positions of power.They are dragging our town and our borough,the place we call home,down into the dirt,and I believe that we deserve so much better than this.

The email above sent from Colin Moore the chief executive and the extracts from the documents that accompanied it are quite staggering.They show a few things.Firstly the email shows the dire financial straits that this council is in.More than that though it shows that once again Colin Moore not the cabinet,is calling the shots.See how his email is to all members (councillors) and in the last paragraph he tells them "in the meantime take this as a direct instruction to cease non essential spending".Who is this unelected,sharp practising,deliberately disingenuous (as described by two tribunals) officer of this council,to give direct instructions to any elected member of this council?

Can we remind him that he takes instruction from them not the other way around.

But just look at the non essential spending our council have been wasting OUR money on so far.£3,600,000 on food,but where is the food being eaten? After all,hasnt the council canteen been closed for all the regular employees? Didnt we all see at the start of 2006 in the Gazette lib/dem councillor and cabinet member Glynn Nightingale tell council employees to go to the chippy because they were closing the canteen because they couldnt afford to run it? So where is THREE AND A HALF MILLION POUNDS WORTH OF FOOD BEING EATEN IN OUR COUNCIL? Or could that be the cost of providing the food for all of Moores corporate hospitality at Gisborough and Rushpool hall?

£920,000 YES NINE HUNDRED AND TWENTY THOUSAND POUNDS spent on COKE and BRITVIC ORANGE!

£1,600,000 YES ONE MILLION SIX HUNDRED THOUSAND POUNDS spent on officers and members travel to wherever they go in this country or abroad.Obviously they are all going first class.

£900,000, NEARLY ONE MILLION POUNDS spent on their mobile phones

This waste is absolutely disgusting.The shower of lying hypocrites who are running and destroying our council have put us into serious financial mess yet they are spending OUR money on the likes of orange,buffets and first class travel.Over SIX MILLION POUNDS WASTED,yet they tell us there is no money to have decent leisure facilities built in OUR town without having 359 Persimmon homes built on OUR coastline? Whats more,they are in serious financial trouble but only last year they committed this council,OUR council to spending what is certainly hundreds of thousands of pounds, but could be easily more than that because the legal fees are an undisclosed amount,on the consultancy and legal fees of the biggest and richest builder in the country?

Its time that the whole borough knew just what the corrupt,lying,maladministrating,inept few who are dragging our council down are doing.Let the truth be known.Tell as many people as you can.In the meantime I am determined to copy them and distribute them to at least 30,000 homes in the borough as we did with the informer last year.

When my girlfriend first suggested at the end of 2004 that I use Redcar.net to inform people of what was really happening in Coatham I did so for one reason.That reason was that the Evening Gazette seemed incapable of printing anything other than the councils viewpoint,practically every article leant towards them and getting the real facts in the paper i.e that the Mungle Jungle at that time had not long been given a 20 year extension to its lease by the council even though the scheme had been in the pipeline ten years previous,was an impossibility.

From the moment I joined the site I have been abused,had personal insults levelled at me constantly,Ive had topics started about me deliberately to attract negative comments that Admin has allowed to stay on the site,I have been goaded and laughed at.Sometimes,the ones responsible have banded together attacking at once twisting and turning everything I have said.The vitriol I recieved when we released the informer was shocking.Everytime the truth is exposed about this council and its lying,sharp practising chief executive and those truths are backed up with documented proof that should have any decent person reeling that their council is behaving in this way,the same nameless,faceless snipers crawl from their dark hiding places and attack,or ridicule,anything to deflect peoples attention away from the truth which has just been exposed.It follows a pattern.The same people come on gloating how they arent of or from or connected with this council,butif that was thecase why are they so determined to detract from the truths that we expose?

In the two and a half years that this campaign to have a baths built in our town without our fantastic coastline being destroyed by 359 houses,I have gained absolutely nothing.Infact it has taken far more from me than it has given.I have been encouraged many times to concentrate on my life a bit more and the things that I need, but when these lowlives who are running OUR council have behaved as they have,when they have deliberately lied about me and smeared me,when they are lying constantly to the people of this borough then I simply cannot.

I dont give one flying toss what the nameless,faceless cowards,because thats what they are,people who can give it but havent got the courage to take it, including the administrator,say about me.I dont care how many times they try to demean or club together to try and goad and pour scorn upon the things which I expose and BACK UP WITH ALL THE RELEVANT DOCUMENTS. They will not stop the movement of people in this town who are now asking questions and searching for the truth and actually getting up and doing something about it AND THATS WHY 430 PEOPLE ATTENDED OUR LAST PUBLIC MEETING.Oh how the political forces in this town must be crapping it. When was the last time any political party in this town or borough ever attracted that many people to a meeting? Can you see now why they attack me so personally all the time? Its because they are affraid.They are frightened that their selfish grip on power is slipping away and under threat, which is why they attack me and our group so viciously and do all they can to blacken us and try and ridicule everything we say even though we produce their own documents to prove what we are saying.They are desperate people.

The days of this council pulling the wool over the eyes of the public in this borough are finished.The days of the public being conned are over.I will expose as many abuses, big or small, carried out by this councils leadership as I can.I have used Redcar.net to do this and now the administrator has banned me.So what? We were leafletting the whole town to inform people long before I started using R.Net and now I have a blog aswell which I will keep updated constantly.

As for the site not being dominated by the council? I laugh to myself everytime that's said.It was only a few months ago after the Gazettes poll on Coatham went our way,that Cllr and Cabinet member Eric Empson sent an email to Cllr Mike Findley giving a run down of all the posts on Redcar.net on the night of the poll and how one post had mentioned "deleting cookies" and that after that the result of the poll went our way.He failed to mention that at that point the poll was neck and neck anyway.If anyone can tell me how to delete a cookie other than by devouring a custard cream I'd be obliged.I dare say poor old Empson is the same.Councillors use that site constantly.I wonder what pseudonymn Eric Empson used on the night of the Gazette poll as he trawled through every posting.

But more than this how desperate is this council when they have to refer to a site like Redcar.net in order to show how popular or in this case unpopular their scheme for Coatham really is? What a bunch of saddo's.To all the coalition councillors,and senior council officers and persimmon stooges who use the site but try and make out they dont,have a bit of backbone about ya and come out of the shadows to fight fairly.You cant do that though can you because you know how underhanded all of this is and how many questions thered be that you couldnt answer.

Admin/Andrew/Bill Gates whoever you are.You're spineless for letting them get away with it and dragging your site down with them.

SHE CAME TOMY HOUSE ONE SUNDAY AFTERNOON IN APRIL.I WAS THERE WITH MY FRIENDS AND CLLR MARY LANIGAN WHO HAD ALSO RECEIVED HATE MAIL ALONG WITH CLLR MIKE FINDLEY IN THEIR PIGEON HOLES WITHIN AN OFFICE THAT IS ACCESSED ONLY BY COUNCILLORS AND OFFICERS.IN FRONT OF THESE PEOPLE SEARGENT MANDY SAVERY TOLD ME THAT THE POLICE KNEW THAT THE MAIL WAS COMING FROM SOMEONE WITHIN THE COUNCIL! I HEARD NO MORE FROM THE POLICE.

IN AUGUST I PHONED THEM UP TO SEE WHAT WAS HAPPENING WITH THE LETTER? WHAT DID THE PRINTS TAKEN FROM ME AND MY FRIENDS SHOW? I WAS TOLD BY A SEARGENT SCHOFIELD THAT MANDY SAVERY HAD BEEN MOVED ON AND HE WAS IN CHARGE OF INVESTIGATION.

I TOOK CLEVELAND POLICE TO THE INDEPENDENT COMPLAINTS COMMISSION.I RECIEVED A LETTER STATING THAT THEY HAD NOTIFIED CLEVELAND POLICE.I THEN GOT A LETTER TELLING ME THAT A POLICE MAN WOULD BE SENT TO SEE ME.I WROTE BACK AND SAID THAT WASNT SUFFICIENT AND I EXPECTED THE SAME TREATMENT AS THE COUNCIL WHO HAD AN INSPECTOR APPOINTED AT THEIR REQUEST OVER THE FLY POSTING INCIDENT.INSPECTOR KEVIN SCOTT CAME TO SEE ME IN NOVEMBER 06.AT FIRST HE TRIED TO MAKE OUT THAT THE POLICE HAD UNDERSTOOD THAT I HAD COMPLAINED TO THE IPCC ABOUT SEARGENT MANDY SAVERY SPECIFICALLY.THIS WASNT THE CASE AT ALL AND HE KNEW IT.I TOLD HIM MY COMPLAINT WAS ABOUT CLEVELAND POLICE AND THEIR LACK OF ACTION IN THIS MATTER AND THE SEEMING BIAS THAT WAS BEING SHOWN TOWARDS THE COUNCIL.

I TOLD HIM WHO I WANTED INVESTIGATING.HETOLD ME THAT THERE WERE 3 SETS OF PRINTS UNACCOUNTED FOR ON THE LETTER DESPITE MY FRIENDS GIVING THEIRS IN APRIL.I GAVE HIM SIX SUSPECTS NAMES AS HE SAID HE NEEDED SOMETHING TO GO ON AND I TOLD HIM WHY THEY WERE SUSPECTS.THE NEXT WEEK I HAD A PHONE CALL FROM MY FRIEND.HE TOLD ME THAT THE POLICE HAD TAKEN HIS PRINTS.I PHONED UP INSPECTOR SCOTT AND ASKED IF HE HAD DONE THE SAME WITH THE SUSPECTS I GAVE HIM? NO HE TOLD ME.

ON DECEMBER 22ND 06 CLLR MARY LANIGAN AND MYSELF WENT TO GUISBOROUGH POLICE STATION FOR A MEETING WITH INSPECTOR SCOTT WHO WAS JOINED BY INSPECTOR COLIN ASKEY.WE WERE TOLD POINT BLANK THAT NO INVESTIGATION INTO THE COUNCIL WOULD BE TAKING PLACE,THAT THE LETTER THAT I RECIEVED WHICH THREATENED ME,DIDNT CONSTITUTE A CRIMINAL ACT! WE WERE TOLD THAT THE LADS WHO WERE INVESTIGATED FOR 13 WEEKS AT THE REQUEST OF THE COUNCIL HAD COMMITTED THE CRIMINAL OFFENCE OF CRIMINAL DAMAGE THATS WHY THEY WERE INVESTIGATED,BUT IF THAT WAS THE CASE THEN WHY WERE THE TWO LADS NEVER PROSECUTED? I TOLD THEM THAT IT WAS SHOCKING THAT THE COUNCIL SHOULD GET THE LEVEL OF INVESTIGATION THAT THEY DID FOR SOMETHING THAT DIDNT EVEN PRODUCE A PROSECUTION,JUST BECAUSE THE FLY POSTERS ACCUSED CERTAIN PEOPLE WITHIN THE COUNCIL OF BEING CORRUPT, YET I HAVE HAD MY LIFE INTERFERED WITH ON A MASSIVE SCALE BY THIS MAIL AND OTHER THREATS INCLUDING DEATH THREATS, AND THEY DIDNT EVEN CONSIDER IT TO BE A CRIMINAL ACT!

WHY IS IT THAT WE CANNOT GET THIS CRIME OF HARRASMENT AND INTIMIDATION INVESTIGATED BYCLEVELAND POLICE WHEN THE COUNCIL HAD TWO LADS INVESTIGATED FOR 13 WEEKS FOR A CRIME THAT THEY WERENT EVEN EVENTUALLY PROSECUTED FOR? WHY IS IT THAT A COUNCILLOR WHO HAS BEEN RECORDED ON CCTV FOOTAGE IN EAST CLEVELAND WIELDING A CHAIN OVER HIS HEAD AND THREATENING PEOPLE WITH IT, HAS NOT BEEN CHARGED WITH ANY OFFENCE OR PROSECUTED BECAUSE THE POLICE SAID DOING SO WOULD NOT BE IN THE BEST INTERESTS OF THE PUBLIC?

I WENT BACK TO THE IPCC AND TOLD THEM WHAT WE WERE TOLD ON THE 22ND.THEIR RESPONSE? WE CANT MAKE POLICE FORCES INVESTIGATE SOMETHING,THATS UP TO THEM.WE ARE ONLY HERE TO LOOK INTO COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE POLICE,SORRY.

ITS AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE AND THE BIAS AND THE BACKSCRATCHING BETWEEN SENIOR OFFICIALS IN THIS COUNCIL AND THE POLICE IS BLATANT.

It has been a few months since I have posted on this site because since the discovery in November 06 that the Primary Care Trust/council/Persimmon have added plans for a 5GP surgery with dentists and opticians,Something that the PCT are denying all knowledge of,to the Persimmon Planning application ready to be granted planning permission,I have been informing as many people as I can.The public knew nothing about this,the councillors and the relevant committees knew nothing about this.Nobody had been consulted nobody had been informed.Yet there are the plans in the planning application awaiting planning permission?
At the PCT's 'consultative' meeting on the 9th of January 07,they still maintained the line that theyknew nothing about it? How can plans for a GP's surgery be drawn up without the PCT being consulted? Also bear in mind that they have already stated that they knew about the option to move to the enclosure in December 2005 at least!

At the meeting on the 9th the PCT rep even stated that Persimmon and the council had made the decision to add the plans to the application and that they had jumped the gun! That comment drew gasps from the packed crowd. And what of the council? Vera Moody failed to tell everybody in August 06 in her glossy myth not fact letter about the new GP surgery at all.Yet there was project manager Ian Hopley,telling the board of governors of Coatham School that same month that it was DEFINATELY going ahead? In November 06,one of the grossest liars in the council Cllr Chris Abbott put out a Libdem focus newsletter listing all the things that were to be included in the enclosure but once again failed to mention the GP surgery.This is even stranger than Moody's failure to tell anyone, because the new surgery was added to the application in the same month as Abbott putout his focus newsletter.How could something so substantial go unannounced?

The thing is that the cabinet and officers knew about it all and had done for some time yet they deliberately said nothing.I have them in a letter stating that nothing was said out of confidentiality,but since when has the moving of a public facility like a doctors surgery ever been considered confidential and been kept secret from everyone.Since when was it the job of the public to inform councillors about the things that they should have been told by the council themselves? Even the Gazette have come off badly in this.I informed them of the GPs surgery in early December on the 4th or 5th. Why then was nothing printed in the paper until the 11th January some FIVE WEEKS LATER,conveniently after the PCT's meeting on the 9th of January and their official SPIN not consultation,had begun?

The whole lot once again stinks to high heaven with the PCT/council/Persimmon homes all scurrying around desperately trying to paper over the massive cracks.Consultation takes place before plans are drawn up,yet these plans were added to the application ready to be granted planning permission yet neither the councillors or the public knew a thing? What would have happened to the PCT's January consultation if the application had come before the planning committee in November and permission had been granted?

Another issue to come to light was Coatham beach being restricted.A letter appeared in the Gazette in early January stating that a deal had been done between the council and English Nature to restrict access to the beach.It baffled many people,myself included,how an unsubstantiated letter like that could get into the GAZETTE.I have taken things to the Gazette that couldbe proved with documents in my possesion,things that expose this councils deceit,yet nothing has happened.However, an unsubstantiated letter damning the council finds a way through?The following day the council countered theletter in the Gazette stating that it was untrue and no deal had been done,but this is only half a story. I phoned Mike Leakeyfrom English Nature the following day.He informed me that the council and English Nature ARE IN TALKS to RESTRICT USE OF COATHAM BEACH on a seasonal and spacial basis to the horse riders and the people who go kite buggying and kite surfing etc.So much for creating more parking spaces for horse boxes and so much for the biggest lie of all,turningthe Mungle Jungle into an extreme sports centre.Afterall, What use is an extreme sports centre without the extreme sports?

Talking of sports,an employee of the health centre approached me a week or so ago and told me that part of the conditions for TVLL getting their lease renewed was that two managers there Ian Lillystone and Fred Bino had to be sacked.Ian I classed as a friend.Fred Bino was just for Fred Bino.Yet ordering the sacking of people in order for a lease to be renewed shows the vindictive nature of this council.Most startling from the employee was the revelation that the "off peak gold card" set up to encourage the unemployed and low waged and the old to use the gym before 3 oclock had been abolished.There is only one tariff now. It costs a hundred pounds more than the off peak gold card and it is for a "gym and swim". This is scandalous.Not only are people who only want to use the gym being forced to pay for a facility they dont want to use,even if they wanted to use it they couldnt without travelling because WE DONT HAVE A BATHS IN OUR TOWN!!! The employee told me to tell everyone because members who only wanted to use the gym were failing to renew their memberships in their droves. For me its just another way to run the leisure centre down further.To discourage its use just as putting two bar staff on in the Bowl when there are 600 people in the room watching a band who want serving.Its absolutely disgusting. Actually,it isnt a hundred pounds more,its £75.00. Because when I posted the facts on Redcar.net,those in authority suddenly dropped a £25 admin charge for those paying cash.So now its either £250.00 or £300.00 if you pay by direct debit.As opposed to the £175.00 charge last year if you paid cash and £190 if you paid by direct debit.

Dont let them get away with these things and the lies that are being told to us.For over two and a half years the council have been telling everybody how Coatham is going to be a leisure led development.However,we all know now that thats bullshit.Even the MP has come out publicly on radio and stated that there'll be no visitors centre or extreme sports centre because theyve attracted no funding.All it is is a housing estate with a bog standard pool and leisure centre in the middle of it.A pool thatwe could have without the houses because they are BORROWING £8,000,000 to prop the scheme up.They arent giving us anything more or different than weve already had than theyve already taken away from us.They are just replacing what they have already taken away from us.And when you consider that people who cant afford the increases in prices for the use of a gym and a pool that we dont even have in our town,do you not think that the pool/leisure centre could be aimed primarily at the people who will be moving into the big,private town houses and luxury apartments which surround it.

People in the building field from Newcastle have heard about this scheme.Not only that their reaction to the information I gave them says it all.Wake up people of Redcar and Cleveland.Its your money that was committed last March to pay for half the consultancy fees and ALL of the legal fees of the biggest and richest builder in the country just so they didnt pull out of the scheme,when we the public are told constantly that we cant have this or that because theres no money available? Wake up and ask yourselves why a liar like Colin Moore and the officers who jump to his every command,should propose spending public money to pay for the richest builder in the coutries fees so they dont pull out, when we are supposed to be strapped for cash.WHY???
