Another warning from the Environment Agency

Please look at the letter below from the Environment Agency. We were told earlier in the year the regulations for building in flood areas were being tightened up and the Environment Agency cant make it any clearer. Gone are the remarks that they made a few months ago in a letter that we were sent that said the local authority should be steering developers away from building in high flood risk areas, now they clearly state that high flood risk areas such as the Coatham Enclosure should only have leisure facilities built upon them but NO BUILDINGS WHERE PEOPLE ARE SLEEPING I.E HOUSES.

The agency doubt very much that Persimmon will be able to meet the requirements that are necessary before their November deadline. It's just about time that the whole lot was scrapped before another penny of public money is wasted on this scheme.
